Fleadh Weekend Info for Competitors/Visitors

COMING TO THE FLEADH

This year the Fleadh is being held in Kinsale Community College. See below for directions

 

CAR PARKING

Car parking in the Community College is very limited. However there will be a number of nearby car parks. Please allow yourself enough time as there may be traffic delays. See the traffic managment map below

 

FOOD

A selection of food options will be available in the school canteen

 

ADMISSION WRISTBANDS & PROGRAMMES

Wristbands must be purchased by all Fleadh Patrons.  

 

Adult Wristband: €5

Junior Wristband: €3

Fleadh Programme: €5

 

GIG RIG

We have a Gig Rig located in Kinsale town centre which will have open air entertainment both Saturday & Sunday from  2.00pm onwards.

 

TROPHIES

Please return trophies to the trophy room on your arrival

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

All stewards will be wearing high visibility vests. Please co-operate with our Fleadh stewards at all times

LATE SLIPS

If you are involved in more than one competition at the same time you must fill out a late slip and present to the call steward at each venue. If we don't hear from you, we will have no option but to the close the competiton after the last competitor has played. If you present a slip, the competiton will be held open for no longer than 15 minutes after the last competitor has performed

 

 

 

 

 

VIDEO PERMIT

To comply with Child Protection Guidelines if you wish to video record any competitor you must have a permit signed by the parent of the competitor or the teacher of the group or band

Vehicles approaching Kinsale from Cork City via Airport R600

R600 continues into Kinsale Town. Turn Left onto Emmet Place (Cronin’s Commercial Hall is on your left), turn left again onto Pier Road. Proceed out of Kinsale Town past Trident Hotel. Continue on R600 as far as Cannon Duggan Bridge. Do not cross the Bridge. Turn Right onto R606 at this junction. Continue on R606 for approximately 800metres. Turn right onto Ballinacubby. Follow signpost for Kinsale Community School.  Kinsale Community School is approximately 500 metres ahead on the right.

 

Vehicles approaching Kinsale from Half Way Roundabout

Approach Kinsale on the R607. The R607 leads to R605. Turn Right onto R605. Continue on R605 until it joins the Bandon Road. Turn left onto Bandon Road. Turn Right onto Abbeylands (at Ashgrove Accommodation).   At roundabout take 2nd exit. Continue for 50 metres. Kinsale Community School is on your left.

 

Vehicles Approaching from Ballinspittle R600

Continue on R600 to Cannon Duggan Bridge. Cross Cannon Duggan Bridge. Turn Left onto R606. Continue on the R606 for 800metres. Turn right onto Ballinacubby. Follow signpost for Kinsale Community School.  Kinsale Community School is approximately 500 metres ahead on the right.

 

Vehicles approaching Kinsale from Bandon via Innishannon

Approach Kinsale via Bandon Road. Turn Right onto Abbeylands (at Ashgrove Accommodtion). At roundabout take 2nd exit. Continue for 50 metres. Kinsale Community School is on your left.

 

Finally there will be No Parking on either side of the Kinsale Community School Road. No Parking cones will be placed on this section by the Gardai
